A day on the beach is my favorite kind of day. It's a shame that it takes over an hour to get to any one beach around here, otherwise I would be there every day. Something about sinking my toes in the sand and listening to the ocean waves makes me feel at peace. The ocean makes me feel as though the world is so much bigger than we think and some of our problems (that we think we have) are so trivial and silly. Looking at the bigger picture introduces a new way of thinking. Push aside your petty issues (like the fact that your straightener broke or you forgot your cell phone at home) and look at the bigger picture. We all have to remind ourselves of that from time to time.
the beach is far from where i am too! so annoying but I love your beachy outfit, especially the colorful skirt. thank you for the comment on my blog! i wish i had your hair! my hair is a bit of a hassle sometimes, haha. :)
Love this outfit! And so true about the beach, it makes you feel so small so your problems just float away :D I'm going to RI this weekend for the beach....so excited! http://www.closet-fashionista.com
To think that we complain about the beach being only less than an hour away.. Much better than living in scorching Atlanta (like my boyfriend) and being hours upon hours away!
Soooo jealous of this beach setting, as someone who has also been very far from a beach her whole life, i live for moments like these! Very chic beach look too :) Thanks for stopping by my blog and commenting btw!
This looks so amazing, I wish we lived that close to a beach!! Sitting in the sunshine with the sand between your toes definitely makes you appreciate the little tihngs. Love your beachy look xJennaD
Totally agree with everything you said... Unfortunately, it always takes somebody else (in this case you-thank you) to remind me to look at the bigger picture because too often I stress about the small/not important things... But I'm getting better lately :) Great post :)
Thanks for your sweet comment! Good luck training for your marathon! That is very exciting! One of these days I hope to train for the same! Loving this orange and pink printed skirt!! So beachy!
That's a lovely set of photos with the sunny beach view. In the US I love the beaches, in the UK our beach scene is just not the same (or as warm!) Liked reading about how the ocean views make you feel... I always feel calmer by the sea...
Welcome to my lil' space on the web! :) I am so happy you stopped by! I'm Lynzy and I needed a place to dump all of my creative craziness that exists inside my brain on a daily basis. I work full time in medicine and when I am not in scrubs, I utilize my closet as a means of expression depending on my mood. I hope that you all enjoy my ramblings about fashion, fitness, and every day life things. Oh, and we have a little bambino on the way. Come hang with us!
down by the sea, where the watermelons grow ... haha
