Hi lovelies! Its Kate here from Postards From. I am so excited to be guest blogging for Lynzy today, since I love her and her blog. When choosing my outfit for this post, I laughed a bit at myself and thought 'you are so typical' Do you have a favorite thing in your closet that you could just wear everyday for the rest of your life? Well..I have about 100 of those things in my closet..and everything in this outfit is actually my favorite in each category. Favorite tights, favorite shoes, favorite sweater - so today is a sneak peak into my favorite things! Anything with floral, neutral colors and a touch of Alice in Wonderland feel will always steal my heart. What is some of your favorite clothing items?

I hope you are all having an amazing week. Thank you so much for tuning into my guest post, hugs and kisses from Canada. xo

Guest Blogger: Girl and Closet

Today's Guest Blogger: Veronika from Girl and Closet

{While I am away soaking up in the sun in all it's glory, please give my guest bloggers a warm welcome!}

Hello, lovely readers. I’m Veronika from “Girl and Closet.” Lynzy asked me to pop on over here today and share my outfit with everyone. I know, twist my rubber arm, right? So excited to be chatting with you guys!

I just purchased this adorable dress at my local thrift store and it was love at first sight. I haven’t gone thrifting in years; oh boy, was I missing out on a good thing or what! I adore styling unique dresses. They are so versatile and easy to layer. I’m a huge fan of remixing and this dress immediately caught my eye. I’ve styled it here with a more laid-back & urban aesthetic. However, you can easily transform this dress with wooden heel platforms, textured tights, and a sequin cardy to join the gals for a dinner date!

Outfit Details: Scarf: Handmade, Dress: Thrifted, Tights: Jacob, Booties: Joe Fresh

And that’s a wrap! SO great to meet you guys and a big thank you to the super fabulous & fashionable Lynzy for asking me to guest blog today. I hope you’re having a great time Lynz, and working hard on that tan. xx veronika

Hi all you sparkling sweethearts! I'm so excited to be bloggysitting for Lynz while she suns her sassy self on a much needed vacay.  I'm sharing one of my very first warm-weather outfits of the year, because it just seems fitting for a post with the word "vacation" anywhere in it.  Probably one of the simplest looks I've worn in a while, with minimal accessories and just the lemony yellow blouse and sailor-inspired pants to carry me through.  I think both of these pieces will end up getting LOTS of mileage in my wardrobe during the upcoming seasons, and I can't wait to style them up in lots of different ways!  What pieces are you looking forward to styling for Spring???

platforms - gift from mom

Hi friends! I am Kim from eat.sleep.wear and I am here guest posting for lovely Lynzy today. I am a graphic designer, fashion blogger, and cupcake enthusiast and coming to you live from Philadelphia! I also use an obsessive amount of exclamation points so bear with me.

Yesterday I spent my lunch break doing a little bit of shopping, grabbing some coffee and strolling by Rittenhouse Square, one of the large parks in Center City Philadelphia. It's always filled with musicians, dog walkers, and people sitting in the grass soaking up the sun. It's been a rainy week so far so it was nice to be able to take advantage of the weather and not wear a boot. I wanted to wear something simple but fun and grabbed my cheetah print dress. I added a splash of color with the tights and lipstick. Just a little punch and I was ready to head to the office.

My coworker snapped my pics for me as I was laughing and jumping around. Is there is something you should know about me, I don't take things too seriously and always start each day with a positive attitude.

A thanks to Lynzy for inviting me to share a little slice of Philly style with you all. Feel free to stop over at my blog, tweet with me on twitter, be friends on facebook, or follow me on bloglovin! xo, Kim

Today's post not only features on StyleOnTheCouch but on one of my favourite new blog finds: Sparkling Footsteps.  I found Lynzy's site recently and not only do I love her individual style but I love the way she incorporates fashion, food, exercise and DIY into her blog.  Sparkling Footsteps gets something a little different from me today, as I'm embracing a kind of bohemian style with this new outfit post, a jumpsuit from H&M.

H&M's Spring 2011 campaign was fronted by the Brazilian super-model, super-mum and all round super-beauty Gisele.  I loved all the pieces when I saw the photos; Gisele was snapped by photographer Daniel Jackson and styled by the talented Robert Rydberg, both of whom have been involved in previous campaigns for H&M.

The clothes are just perfect for Spring.  There are plenty of 70s influences to make me smile: retro prints, draped jersey, lots of fit and flare... even the details like cute rope belts with tassles make my heart jump a little.  I tried on lots of separates from the collection at H&M's Soho store in Manhattan (515 Broadway) but in the end I settled on the wide legged jersey jumpsuit, an absolute steal at $19.95.

Tickled Pink

Outfit Details:
Blazer: J. Crew
Ruffled Tank: Ann Taylor
Pants: Gap
"Elf" Booties: Chinese Laundry from approx. 8 years ago (and still in love...)

In light of the snow falling today I decided I would throw in these pictures I took when there WAS still snow on the ground BEFORE spring had started. Give us the warmth already!
These booties are the most beloved pair of shoes I own, simply because they are the comfiest shoes my feet have ever known. I can walk miles and miles with these without blisters and pain. Sometimes heels just don't do it for me...

I have some big news!! I will finally be opening my own vintage shop on Etsy within the next few weeks. I have been wanting to take on this venture for awhile now, however time is always a constraint. If only we had more hours in a day....
As soon as the shop debuts, I will let you all know :)

These pants immediately caught my eye when I walked into H&M last week. The print is somewhat Aztec/animal inspired and I am so in love. They feel like pajamas-which puts a smile on my face. Hope you all had a wonderful weekend--Let's start the week off right!

I know it's been forever! No more is the winner of the Her and I Shop Giveaway...((Drum roll...))

Liz Crowny  Congrats!
