{Outfit Details} White Blazer and Silk Skort (c/o) Alice Yim//Lace top: Forever 21//Sandals: Dolce Vita //Necklaces: Vintage
NYC last week was a whirlwind and over before I knew it. Thursday, was a day filled with fun event with Sarah (Style on the Couch)- pictures to follow. We browsed sample sales- by far the best one we hit was Alice Yim. She is a doll in person and I could have talked to her forever. The second I tried on this fitted white blazer and skort, I was in love. The silk material is gorgeous and ridiculously comfortable. I adore how the blazer drapes down in the back- it's the perfect cut and fit.
We had a sneak peek at her Fall Collection '11 and I fell in love with a few items (which I definitely think you should check out..) You can request a lookbook on her site here.
Thanks Alice and we look forward to seeing you again in September!

I had the opportunity to attend an event at the Caudalie Spa at The Plaza Hotel when I was in New York. I went with the lovely Sarah from Style on the Couch and an old college friend. I have to be honest and say that I have never been a huge fan of perfumes or scents-I just stick to the scents I love and have been wearing for years.
"Experience the feeling of a stroll through the vines, at dawn, noon, and dusk."
There are 3 scents available for purchase at Sephora:
Dawn: Fleur de Vigne (Grapefruit, Mandarin, Cedar)
Noon: Zeste de Vigne (Sweet Lemon, Petit grain, Bergamot)
Dusk: The des Vignes (White musk, Neroli, Ginger)
I have to say that it was so difficult choosing a favorite and I ended up choosing 2 favorites: Dusk & Noon. Though, I would wear every single one. Each scent is very light and refreshing and coordinates well with the time of day. Fleur de Vigne is a great scent to put on when you first wake up and pour your first glass of coffee. Zeste de Vigne is a scent that will uplift your spirits midday and keep you going. The des Vignes is perfect for winding down after a long day.
As for the giveaway...
I want to you to describe your ideal time of day and how you like to spend it. I will choose the reader with the most creative answer and you will win the scent you chose!
I will go first...
My ideal time of day is Dawn. That special time in the morning when the sun is coming up and the birds are waking up. I like to relax with a great large cup of 'Jo and enjoy the sun's rays as the day begins.
I just arrived home from a few days away in New York City. I have so many photographs that I cannot wait to share with you all. I still need to sort them all and make the posts, which probably won't be up until late this week or next...
I enjoyed delicious (but not so healthy) food, made some new friends, saw old friends, and most of all enjoyed every second. How was your weekend?
Random Fact: I am and will always be a HUGE Led Zeppelin fan. If you are as well, say I.
I am currently in NEW YORK CITY for a medical conference and also, play time! Here is my list of things I want to do while I am there:
1.) Meet up with some old college friends
2.) Learn some new medical shiz
3.) Eat a fantastic slice of pizza
4.) Meeting up with some amazing bloggers/gals along the way including Morgan,Eliot, Christine, Caroline, and Sarah! If you are around the next few days-give me a holler ;)
4.) Laughing the night away at one of my favorite comedy theaters
5.) Some cocktails and dancing on Governor's Island
6.) Wandering around the city with no specific destination
My current lust list. Digging a pair of bright flats and purse, two-toned dress, simple striped tee and denim shorts. I would love to throw on the striped shirt and denim shorts for a trip down the beach. What are you currently craving?
Video Disclaimer: I am a ridiculous person and you are allowed to laugh AT me periodically throughout this video. ;)
I love this look for summer because it keeps you cooler (especially with longer hair) and it keeps the hair out of your face. The scarf adds a bit of a color dimension to any outfit!
I am most definitely not the first one to make a video of how to tie a turban and/or scarf. Everyone has their own way of wearing them//here are some more DIY tutorials from some amazing bloggers:
Jumpsuit: H&M//Heels: Jessica Simpson Dany Platforms//Scarf worn as a headwrap: Vintage//Sunglasses: 80's Purple//Earrings: American Eagle
I feel very 60's housewife cleaning the house in this outfit. I don't know if it's the headwrap or the onesie or a combination of both-all I know is that I love me a onesie.
Let me tell you a little secret about how ridiculously silly I can be at times... So I was stumped as to what to purchase my father for father's Day this year. I decided on some Boston Red Sox tickets-because what's better than a good baseball game in the summer with a Fenway Frank? Yes, that's right-nothing. I went to a third party site and found some awesome VIP club seats and was stoked to give them to my father, until....
I realized I purchased tickets for the game in....TEXAS.
Yah.....great job jerk.
So anyways, I sold two to my gal friend Francesca and I have two more left! If you live in Texas and will be around on August 25th, let me know!! :)
Oh, and one more thing...
I have always been wildly into music and I love the way Jenny shares music on her blog and decided to start sharing with all of you some of the tunes that fuel my days :)

I was super excited when I saw the next Bloggers Do It Better assignment posted: Neon and Neutral. I am loving this trend and there are so many ways to represent it. A bright neon belt with monochromatic palette, bright neon heels with a crisp white dress, I could go on forever...
I chose this skirt that I bought from H&M a few weeks back. With the ruffles and the bright neon colors, I knew I wanted to tone it down with basic beige/while colors. These heels from Aldo are ridiculously comfy and I scored them for $34, Yup..amazing. Vintage clutches have become a new favorite collection hobby of mine (it changes month to month). I love the beading detail throughout and it actually fits quite a bit!
Do you like the neon & neutral trend? How do you wear it?
A great weekend. There's nothing like a picnic in the park to consume your afternoon (with some silly faces to boot). I love days that aren't made up with to-do lists.
What's one of your favorite ways to relax and kick back?
Top: Old Navy//Shorts: Topshop//Flats: Urban Outfitters//Handbag: Lulus//Sunnies: Karen Walker//Turquoise ring & Necklace: Vintage//Watch: Michael Kors//Bracelets: Forever 21
A 3 day weekend with nothing on the to-do list except for a picnic in the park, long hike, great food, and lots of Arrested Development. I could have done with a little sunshine but sometimes a dull and gray day does a body good. Keeps you inside and forces you to watch as many movies/old TV shows as possible ;)
Anyway, I am recharged and ready for a new week. What did you do this weekend?
Peep my other Monday outfit post over on Style by Santina's blog, here.
Top via SugarLips swapped with Katie//Navy Blue Denim: Zara//Necklace: American Eagle//Heels: Fioni via Payless//Watch: Michael Kors and Misc. Bracelets//Sunnies: 80's Purple
Yet another swap with the lovely Katie from Running on Happiness. You can see how she styled up this adorable top here. I love how she paired hers with the bell-bottom flares and belt. I wanted to stay simple so I threw on my favorite Zara skinnies and a pair of nude heels and called it a day. I decided to add another pop of color with the turquoise necklace.
On another note: it has been excruciatingly HOT around here. Its supposed to get up to 100 degrees tomorrow! Yowzers.
Any tips for staying stylish in this humid weather?
Welcome to my lil' space on the web! :) I am so happy you stopped by! I'm Lynzy and I needed a place to dump all of my creative craziness that exists inside my brain on a daily basis. I work full time in medicine and when I am not in scrubs, I utilize my closet as a means of expression depending on my mood. I hope that you all enjoy my ramblings about fashion, fitness, and every day life things. Oh, and we have a little bambino on the way. Come hang with us!
