Operation: Friendship for Newtown

Everyone has been asking “What can we do?” and “How can we help?”
I have been asking myself the same questions and came up with Operation: Friendship for Newtown
I don’t know about you, but when I was little I loved making these friendship bracelets. Let this be a way to show these children that we are all thinking of them and that we are all friends.
We are going to stick with green and white for colors. These are the colors that represent Sandy Hook….
After you create the bracelet, write a little letter stating where you are from and your favorite part about living where you live. You can also include a quote from Dr. Suess if you wish :)
I would love to get as many of these from around the country (& world) as we can. These little ones will be so excited to receive something all the way from California or Colorado or Florida!
Please, please spread the word. If you are a teacher, it could be a craft project for your children. Email me with any questions you may have (:

Such a wonderful idea! I’ve also been feeling helpless to DO something….anything for those children, the families, the entire community. Definitely count me in! Now, to just remember how to make those bracelets, lol.
