Happy Halloween!

I wasn't a huge fan at the time, but this jacket is exactly that. It can transfer to a smaller coat for special occasion and back into a long coat when its cold in winter. Sounds pretty awesome to me.... There is nothing that beats fall here in New England, I mean there can't be..... I used to have dreams of living on the west coast in Cali - I always was a beach girl at heart. But let me tell you something..... The older I get, the more I absolutely love the fall season and there is nothing like the smell of fallen leaves and apple cider. I wish it could be like this year round. Guess can make one heck of a killer watch. This one stole my heart.

Deep Roots

It was an amazing trip (although I could have done without the flight, it was 28 hours!). It is so beautiful there and the culture is what stood out to me the most. Everyone was so incredibly welcoming. Our taxi driver, Bebas, even invited us over to his home for dinner. It was by far our most delicious meal that we had while we were there.  My husband (feels so crazy to say that!) bought me this necklace at a silversmith while we were there. We were able to watch how they create their pieces, which take days to weeks to complete. This necklace took three whole days and I am in love with it's simplicity.  The other amazingly beautiful aspect of the trip was the landscaping of the island. They have the most gorgeous trees, plants, flowers, etc. Everything was full of color and thriving (especially when we stayed in the jungle). I would highly recommend a Bali trip for those wanting to explore the world and travel far. I will never forget it!

We are back!! What an amazing past few weeks. I don't even know how to put it all into words. While we are trying to get used to the working life again and organizing, I wanted to leave you all with a few sneaks of the wedding by the amazingly talented Meg from Rodeo and Co. Photography. I seriously cannot say enough about her, she amazes me with every photo she shows me. As I pursue my photography career, I can only hope to be nearly as talented as she is. 

Wedding Day: Dearest Lou

I'm so happy to have the opportunity to guest post here on Sparking Footsteps. I'm excited for Lynzy and her fiance and I wish them all of the happiness in the world! I'm just going to share a few pictures and details about my wedding. 

My wedding day was hands down the best day of my life. My husband Daryl and I got married last year on December 20, 2011. I never pictured a winter wedding but we were too excited to wait. I was only engaged for 94 days and my husband proposed to me on our one year dating anniversary. I know we were very young but I knew from the very beginning that Daryl was the man I wanted to spend the rest of eternity with. 

Since I am of the LDS faith, we had a very intimate ceremony held in the Oquirrh Mountain Temple. We knelt across from each other encircled by our family and a few friends and made promises that sealed us together for time and all eternity. After the wedding was over, everyone that was in the temple made their way out to wait with the others who didn't attend the actual ceremony. 

After taking a few pictures outside with the wedding party we went out for brunch at Brick Oven Pizza. We had a big reception afterwards that was a lot of fun. I don't remember frowning or having a single worry that entire day. I hope that Lynzy feels the same amount of happiness on her big day and I can't wait to hear all about it.
